LifeDX Africa’s Dar es Salaam Facility Secures TMDA Approval for Local Diagnostic Manufacturing

Our manufacturing facility in Dar es Salaam, has officially secured its Premises Registration Certificate from the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA), marking the launch of our medical diagnostic production in East Africa. Issued on August 21, 2026 under Registration No. TMDA-WEB0126/MDR/0092, the certificate grants our site the formal regulatory approval to manufacture and sell In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) devices.

This milestone transforms our strategy into operational reality, establishing a high-tech hub designed to deliver reliable, premium-quality diagnostic solutions across Tanzania and the broader African continent. By shifting toward local production, our facility aims to accelerate medical technology transfer and build sustainable regional capacity in advanced healthcare diagnostics.

The operational scaling of our facility is tightly integrated with local scientific expertise, following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in May 2026 with the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) to drive applied research and professional training.
